Goodbye Link2

After working in Link2Support (they call it something else today) for barely 5 years, I finally decided to quit. I resigned from my first-ever job just last month. I got tired of the KPI, CSAT, QA, etc., etc. And so far, honestly, I didn't regret doing so. Not that I didn't enjoy my stay there. It's just that I realized, after moving on, that there are a lot of better places than there. Really! Not that I hate the company. I sincerely don't. I owe that company a lot, I know. And I wish I can go there sometimes to visit the friends I left there -- the hardworking, yet underpaid, people. Whew! They sure don't take care of their tenured employees, what can we do? But you know what? Having said that, they're still capable of convincing people to either stay or work for them again -- like this girl I'm going to tell you about. She's a friend, a dear one. She resigned before me. And just yesterday, she excitedly informed me that she has just been re-hired by You-Know-Who. I know I won't be getting this chance (I'm glad) because I didn't say "yes" to 1 question in my exit interview: "Are you willing to work in Link2Support again, given a chance?" I hope she's not doing a huge mistake. As for me, goodbye Link2. But maybe. Just maybe...

For my boyfriend's birthday

As soon as I realized my boyfriend's birthday will fall on a weekday, and since we only see each other during weekends, I decided I have to buy a gift for him before the weekend so I can give it before his birthday (and not after coz that would be bad). Last friday, I had to be at work by 10pm. And since I live in Antipolo, I had to leave by atleast 8:30pm. For days, I've been thinking what to give my dear boyfriend considering my budget, which is a huge factor. Because if money is not a problem for me, I won't be thinking hard of what to give him. I know he wants a PSP slim, a new pair of Chuck's, PlayStation3, Nintendo Wii, etc. Anyways, so, considering my budget, I'm glad I've come up with an idea to give him a gift I know he'd appreciate. So that day (friday), I woke up earlier than usual to go to Megamall first. I went straight to (guess what?) the Toy Kingdom. I knew exactly where to go and who to ask. I bought a Gundam Seed: Freedom Gundam Model Kit 1/100 Scale #07 and he liked it. I know he liked it. I enjoyed watching him pouring his time and sweat (hehe) assembling it. I realized, for the Nth time, that it's the thought that counts.
